THE TEAM

Chantal Feron
Clinical Psychologist
Equine-Assisted Psychotherapist
Clinical Director of Almagre
My first training in Equine-Assisted Therapy took place in 2007, and since then, I have maintained my interest and passion for this field. Over the past two years, I have deepened this knowledge by completing various training programs in Animal-Assisted Therapies and, more recently, by finishing the Eagala (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association) certification in New York, a worldwide reference in this therapeutic approach.
That was when everything started to make sense. After years of providing consultations in a hospital setting, I realized that what many people were missing was a connection with nature, the outdoors, horses, and, of course, with themselves. This realization gave birth to the Almagre project—a place where my two greatest passions, psychology and horses, come together.
With extensive experience in clinical psychology and equine-assisted therapy, I lead the company’s strategic direction, oversee clinical operations, conduct therapeutic sessions and programs, and ensure the maintenance of ethical standards.
I am a full member of the Portuguese Psychologists’ Association (Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses), Professional License No. 013236;
A member of the American Psychological Association (APA), Member No. 00193333;
Board Member of the International Association of Coaching Psychology (IACP).
I also practice at Hospital Cuf Tejo, where I provide clinical psychology consultations and integrate the Occupational Stress and Burnout Unit.

Leonor Feron Buzaglo
Yoga Teacher
Perinatal Educator
Doula from Pregnancy to Postpartum
Parental Coach in Conscious and Neurocompatible Education
I discovered Yoga at the age of 16, and seeing the profound impact it had on me and my life, Yoga became my path and mission. My goal is to share everything I learn that brings me peace and a harmonious life.
At the age of 19, I began my studies with Professor Pedro Kupfer. After completing the course, I decided to fully immerse myself in this ancient science and traveled to India. I fell in love with this country and its rich culture—it became my home, where I spent the past several years studying, working, and living with Yoga. Now, I divide my time between India and my home country, with the mission of sharing the knowledge and wisdom that Yoga and India have given me.
In India, I completed advanced studies in Traditional Hatha Yoga at the Yoga Vidya Gurukul (University of the Satyananda lineage).
I am certified and internationally recognized in Yoga for Pre- and Post-Natal care, Yoga Therapy, and Ayurveda. I lived in an ashram, deepening my studies and practice, as well as serving as a volunteer and Yoga teacher.
I also studied Vedanta at Swami Dayananda’s ashram, Arsha Vidya Pitham.
I traveled extensively across India, having the privilege of studying, practicing, and deepening my knowledge with Gurus and teachers, including:
• Usha Devi, completing her intensive Iyengar Yoga course.
• Surinder Singh, with whom I trained in Hatha Yoga and continued learning under his guidance over the years.
I am also certified in Ayurveda Pregnancy, Mother and Baby Care from the Ayurveda College
In Healing Marma Therapy and Abhyangam Ayurvedic Massage at the Ayuskama Ayurveda Institute.
Additionally, I completed the Engineering Health: Yoga and Physiology program at Tandon School of Engineering with Alexandra Seidenstein, Eddie Stern, and Tommy Lee.
I hold a Yoga for Children certification from the Yoga Alliance (UK and US). I also have experience teaching Yoga and Yoga Therapy to children with learning difficulties, hyperactivity, and autism, complementing the interventions of clinical psychologists.
With the birth of my children, conscious education, as well as pregnancy and childbirth, became both a passion and a mission for me.
I completed Doula and Perinatal Educator training with Matriusca, as well as mentorship with Michel Odent.
I have advanced training in Conscious Education and Neurocompatible Education and hold a certification in Children’s Mental Health from the Institute of Child Psychology.
I also completed the Introduction to Montessori Education (0-12 years) course from the International Montessori Institute (IMI).
I trained as a Forest School Leader (Level 3), founded our own Forest School—Semente—where I promote education that bridges children (and adults) with nature.

Ana Rita Barros
Psychologist
I have been working as a psychologist since 2010 and am deeply passionate about the field of child development. Throughout my career, I have participated, as a research fellow, in several research projects at the former Research Unit in Cognitive Psychology of Development and Education (UIPCDE) at ISPA. In these projects, I explored the impact of family and educational contexts on children’s development, emphasizing the importance of a systemic and integrated approach.
My professional practice focuses on the child and their family, promoting collaboration with other relevant contexts to ensure effective and contextualized intervention. I have extensive experience in assessment, diagnosis, and intervention in school, psycho-pedagogical, and clinical settings.
I hold a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from ISPA – Instituto Universitário (2010) and completed the Advanced Studies Course in Developmental Psychology at the same institution (2018).
Further enhancing my qualifications, I completed a postgraduate degree in Cognitive-Behavioral Psychology for Children and Adolescents (2020) and obtained certification in Functional ABA: Pyramid Approach to Education from Pyramid Educational Consultants Portugal, Lda (2021).
I have published articles in scientific journals and participated as a speaker in international conferences, sharing knowledge and experiences related to child development and evidence-based psychological interventions.
I believe in a child-centered approach that emphasizes collaboration with their family and educational context to foster healthy and balanced development.
